Daisy's first visit to The New Forest

Daisy learned many things in The New Forest.  There were her new friends, Ali-B and Willow for a start. Ali quietly put up with Daisy's antics but Willow stood no nonsense, (being a Mother herself) and Daisy got told off plenty.  She watched the grownups constantly though and began to learn how to behave.  She also made friends with the two American quarter horses, Amber and Indy and every morning her first job was to call at the field at the back of the house to see them!

There were wild ponies and the scent of deer, badger and fox in the forest, as well as rabbit and hare and also cattle and pigs.  And everywhere we went people stopped to stroke her and say how beautiful she is.
