From Golden Retrievers to
Gardening, from poetry to Kettering Town in Northamptonshire. Dog
behaviour and dog misbehaviour!
We live in the market town of
Kettering in Northamptonshire, UK, with our beautiful Golden Retriever Daisy,
also known as The Duck, or Demon, depending on the way she's behaving!
We love gardening, photographing in and
around Kettering, poetry, good food, music and walking our Golden
Retriever in the Northamptonshire countryside.
We believe in the home and work
hard to achieve comfort and tranquillity therein. We see the home and garden as a haven
from the rigors of our daily life at work and we value the fellowship of our
friends and neighbours.
|
Our house is in a quiet suburb on
a low hill overlooking Kettering town centre. We can see the towering spire of the ancient Church
of Saints Peter and Paul and the office blocks in the town, but we
are also close to open country where Hannah loves to romp. Quite near is the A14
highway which links two major north/south routes and is a symbol of the
ever-changing face of Northamptonshire and our country at large.
Time moves on and many things
change, "Some forever, not for better", as the Beatles once sang but
if things change in the world outside, beyond our consent or control, at least
in our homes and gardens we can follow our dreams, however small they might seem
to others and turn our haven into a kind of heaven.
